CNN Treats Politics Like Sports — and It’s Making Us All Dumber

When you treat politics like a game, you’re going to end up with news coverage that cares more about drama than it does about the truth. CNN has modeled it’s political coverage after shows like ESPN’s First Take, pitting commentators against each other to argue about the day’s news stories. That makes for cheap and entertaining television, but in the Trump era, it’s turned CNN into a circus of bullshit and misinformation. (Vox)
